Will my phone work with the Dexcom Stelo? 

The Dexcom Stelo works with any Apple device with iOS 16.2 or higher and any Android 12 or higher.

Is the Stelo waterproof? 

The Dexcom Stelo is waterproof and can be submerged in up to 8 feet of water for 24 hours. 

Can I use my Stelo while traveling internationally?

To use Stelo, your primary residence must be in the US, and your Stelo app and account must be created within the US. Once you’re set up, you can use your Stelo during international travels.

Can I use Stelo if I am pregnant?

Yes, you can use Stelo if you're not on insulin and you’re not at risk of hypoglycemia.

Can I wear my Stelo biosensor through airport security or while flying?

Yes, you can wear your Stelo Glucose Biosensor while flying or going through airport TSA, metal detectors, and Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) body scanners.

Where can I find my Stelo biosensor serial number?

When inserting your biosensor, be sure to take a picture of the serial number located on the side of your Stelo applicator or the (1-pk) product box.

Why is my mobile app frozen?

If your Stelo mobile app isn’t working, you may need to close and restart the app. For more information, please refer back to your phone provider.

Why doesn’t my Stelo match my blood glucose meter? 

Your Stelo glucose readings will not always be the same number as a blood glucose meter (BGM) reading. The Stelo Glucose Biosensor measures glucose in the interstitial fluid just under your skin, while a BGM is measuring glucose in a drop of blood—it’s normal for these values to differ. 

Why am I no longer receiving notifications or alerts from my app?

Your Stelo app may be in Private Spaces (Android phones) or Hidden apps (Apple phones).

Why am I getting a Bluetooth alert when I am pairing my sensor?

Bluetooth technology is used to pair your Stelo biosensor with the Stelo app.

Will Android 15 affect my Stelo system?

Stelo is not currently compatible with Android 15.

Why is my Stelo app freezing/crashing when I tap on the Stelo insight under the home screen glucose graph?

Update your Stelo by Dexcom app to the latest Stelo app version

Can I purchase a Stelo Glucose Biosensor for someone else?

Yes, you can buy a Stelo biosensor for someone else, just make sure the recipient uses their information for their Stelo account during Stelo mobile app set-up.

Can I buy the Stelo Glucose Biosensor with my FSA/HSA Funds?

Stelo is a glucose biosensor to manage your glucose and lower your A1C and is therefore a qualified medical expense. Check to see eligibility for FSA/HSA.
